Monica Apriceno

Monica Apriceno of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away August 19, 2024. She was 91 years old. Monica grew up in Trinidad with her Aunt until she was 13. After WW2 she moved to New York, New Jersey and later retired in Edgewater, FL. She was a wonderful cook and did catering for many years (she is known for her spanakopita). She also worked at Sterns Department Store in NJ and more recently at Watson Reality. Monica enjoyed playing cards, cooking, shopping and traveling. Monica was predeceased by her husband Angelo Joesph (AJ or Papa Joe). She has 6 stepchildren: Jim, Barbara, Elaine, George, Lisa, Marianne, 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held Saturday, September 7th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Extension at Alberto’s in Port Orange.
