Roy Alvis "R.A." Coleman, 81, New Smyrna Beach, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at his home following a lengthy illness surrounded by his wife and family. R. A. was born in Pikeville, KY and had been an area resident for over 50 years. As a general contractor and owner of Coleman Builders of Volusia County, R. A. was the developer of numerous subdivisions and commercial properties in the Volusia County area and was a member of Riverbend Community Church, Ormond Beach. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Cucchero Coleman; son, Frank (Melissa) Radosta of West Palm Beach; daughters, Nina (Parker) Hanson of St. Petersburg, Lisa Radosta (Scott) Huntley of West Palm Beach, Shayla Blake of Ruston, LA and Colleen Bridges of Nashville, TN; brothers, Robert (Judy) Coleman of DeLand, Foster (Yolanda Pagano) Coleman of Daytona Beach and Rene (Loretta) Coleman of Edgewater and grandchildren, Lena Hanson, Isabella Huntley and Leo and Brianna Radosta. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Coleman. A Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Riverbend Community Church, 2080 W. Granada Boulevard, Ormond Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Heart Association.
